And He was saying to them, "To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God , but those who are outside get everything in parables,"
Mark 4:11
As I walk daily among the lost of this world, I must remember this: Someone must explain to them, because God doesn't intend nor want them to be ignorant and doomed forever.
Mark 4:22 "For nothing is hidden , except to be revealed ; nor has anything been secret , but that it would come to light ."'
I must be a "revealer" at all times, and the only way to do that properly (not in the flesh) is to seek the Father's council.
Mark 4:34 . . . and He did not speak to them without a parable ; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples .
As an insider to this "mystery" Jesus refers to, I have an advantage, and so I must believe that I have an advantage and act accordingly. I must also be cautious and reveal my "secret" with discerning shrewdness. The "secret" a follower must always remember AND practice in order to be a successful revealer, is to spend time with the True Revealer of mysteries; that is our "secret".
Proclaimers of Christ
Who is to warn, to sound the alarm, to implore people to gather and to consider what to do?
Numbers 10:8 "The priestly sons of Aaron , moreover, shall blow the trumpets ; and this shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations"'.
Those closest to God, who minister to Him and wait upon Him and hear His voice; they receive direction and guidance to pass on. They are the watchmen who are compelled to warn.
