The world, the church, our jobs, families, spouse, hobbies, careers - all those ingredients which comprise our lives. These are clamoring for our time and attention, but there is One that we must first focus on if we hope to properly align all the rest.
Jesus.
Isn't it important to feed the poor and clothe the naked? Of course it is.
Isn't it vital to minister to those who are hurting? Yes and yes!
But if we have short-circuited ourselves of time with Jesus, we can only minister to them in our puny strength and utilizing our miniscule resources. Oh how pitiful, and frankly, sinful! Prideful! Arrogant! Typical! Failure to draw from the well of the springs of Living Water is just plain folly. Reassess your priorities - Spend time with your Source today . . . and every day from now until eternity.
