And as these were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus,
"Master, it is good for us to be here . . " Luke 9:33
The 'inner circle' of disciples had just witnessed an astounding event. Incredible amounts of spiritual energy and emotion were overflowing in them. To try and capture thoughts and convert them to speech at a time like this is silly. The resulting dialogue usually falls into the gibberish category; but Peter tried anyway.
What is precious about his attempt is forever captured as his child-like effulgence bubbles over into the simplest and starkest of truths.
It is good to be in the presence of Jesus!
It may leave us speechless, but it is good - very good. There is nothing so simple and so completing as that.
